Original Antibiotic Ointment by Polysporin is a topical first-aid antibiotic designed to help prevent infection and support healing of minor cuts, scrapes, and burns. The ointment combines two antibiotics—bacitracin zinc and polymyxin B sulfate—to provide broad infection protection while forming a soothing protective barrier over the wound. Enriched with vitamin E, the formula helps maintain a moist healing environment without stinging or strong odour.

INGREDIENTS

Active Ingredients (per gram):

– Polymyxin B Sulfate: 10,000 units

– Bacitracin Zinc: 500 units

Inactive Ingredients:

– Cocoa butter

– Cottonseed oil

– Olive oil

– Petrolatum

– Sodium pyruvate

– Vitamin E

RECOMMENDED DOSE

• Clean affected area

• Apply a small amount to the affected area 1 to 3 times daily

• May be covered with a sterile bandage

• Do not use in the eyes or over large areas of the body

• Do not use if allergic to any ingredient
