The active ingredients in Preparation H Multi-Symptom Hemorrhoid Treatment Cream include Phenylephrine Hydrochloride 0.25%, which helps temporarily reduce swollen hemorrhoidal tissue, Mineral Oil 14%, which helps soothe and protect the affected area, and Petrolatum 71.9%, which helps form a protective barrier and relieve irritation.

Direction

Clean the affected area with mild soap and warm water, then gently pat dry. Apply the cream to the affected area up to 4 times daily, especially in the morning, at bedtime, and after each bowel movement. For internal hemorrhoids, use the applicator as directed on the package.
