WHAT IT IS / WHAT IT DOES

BENYLIN® Extra Strength Cold, Mucus & Phlegm Relief Syrup helps clear mucus buildup and relieve chest congestion so you can cough more productively. The formula contains guaifenesin, an expectorant that thins and loosens phlegm, along with menthol to soothe irritated airways and support breathing comfort.

Suitable for adults and adolescents 12+, this syrup is designed for temporary relief of wet, mucus-filled coughs associated with colds.

INGREDIENTS

Medicinal Ingredients (per 5 mL / 1 tsp):

• Guaifenesin – 200 mg

• Menthol – 15 mg

Non-Medicinal Ingredients:

• Alcohol

• Citric acid

• FD&C Blue No. 1

• FD&C Red No. 40

• Flavour

• Glycerin

• Monoammonium glycyrrhizinate

• Polyethylene glycol

• Polyoxyl hydrogenated castor oil

• Propylene glycol

• Saccharin sodium

• Sodium benzoate

• Sodium chloride

• Sodium citrate

• Water

• Xanthan gum

Read all label directions before use. Do not use with any other cough or cold medications.

RECOMMENDED DOSE

• Adults and children 12+:

• Shake well before use

• Take 2 teaspoons (10 mL) every 6 hours

• Maximum: 8 teaspoons (40 mL) in 24 hours

CAUTIONS / WARNINGS

• Do not exceed the recommended dose

• Do not use if allergic to any ingredients

• Do not use with other cough/cold medications

• Do not use within 2 weeks of taking MAOIs

• Consult a doctor before use if you:

• Have a persistent cough, chronic cough, or lung disease

• Have difficulty breathing

• Are pregnant or breastfeeding

• Take other medications

• Stop use and seek medical attention if:

• Rash or allergic wheezing occurs

• Sore throat lasts more than 2 days

• Fever > 38°C develops

• Headache persists

• Symptoms worsen or new symptoms appear

• Phlegm becomes thick, yellow, or green

• Keep out of reach of children

• In case of overdose, contact a doctor or Poison Control Centre immediately
