FROM GREEN TEA, BERRIES, GRAPES, AND TOMATOES
Consuming green tea has been associated with a plethora of health benefits. Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG), a potent natural antioxidant is the major polyphenol in green tea and has been shown to protect against the damaging effects of carcinogenic exposure. Anthocyanidins are antioxidants contributing to the rich and deep colour of fruits and berries known for their protection against oxidative stress and maintenance of DNA integrity. Anthocyanidins also act as anti-inflammatory and antimutagenic agents and support cardiovascular health. Lycopene, a natural carotenoid compound is another effective natural antioxidant that has been studied for it’s various health promoting properties.
