It was back then when a Bayer® researcher, Professor Karl Heinz Büchel, reached the breakthrough of developing clotrimazole, an active antifungal ingredient. A few years later, clotrimazole was registered in Germany and launched under the brand name Canesten®. We became the first to craft the original clotrimazole product that is not only effective at treating the fungal infection, but tackles its root cause. Then we created new product formats to deliver this effective ingredient in various presentations so everyone can find a product that best suits their needs.
